Exploring Del's house!

Thursday night I trekked down to Coronado to hang out with my little people friends!  ;)  we ordered room service, watched Gnomeo and Juliet....  TWICE and then went out late into the night to explore the place "Del" calls home....  ;) 
Geesh...  good thing I ordered the children's sandwich...  I'm afraid of what the BIG people sandwich would of came out looking like!!  haha!!  ;)  and yes the sandwich was as good as it looked...  and those steak fries...  YUMMM!!! 

after we ate and finished the first run around of the movie we went out for a little ice cream...  ;)  Naturally Lukey choose the orange one!

Miss Ella's was a sprinkled one....  with a cherry!

.....and mine was a brownie swirl vanilla one they had....  I LOVED it, and that's rare for me....  I'm usually a "vanilla" ice cream girl, but this one was GREAT!!  just like the picture shows!

so we took our ice creams and went down to the beach to eat... 

when we got down there, we, well I, finished my ice cream, while they ran around the beach....  then we came up to this, Luke inquired on wether I may be able to build them one of these?  hmmmm....  Ella must of noticed my uncertainty, because she preceded to tell me "mommy brought us sand toys, they're in our hotel...  we can just go back and get them, and you can build us this?"  ahhhh...  the innocense of kids...  I LOVE it...  maybe next time I come out I told them....  (I better get on practicing)

Lukey told me stories of when he was "a little boy,"  haha!!  That still makes me laugh as I write this!  ;)

then we went exploring around the hotel, thru secret passages, and such, we found the LIGHTED pool, and a dragon tree, and then we stumbled upon a bonfire

and SMORES!!!!  :)

They really wanted to do it, and why not?    looks like they both enjoyed their smores!

as we were leaving, the guy asked them if they wanted to take some "smores" back with them...  and you can probably assume their answer, just by the look of excitement on their faces!  ;)

So there it is...  a fun afternoon/night with the kiddos, I'm thinking we all really enjoyed ourselves.... ;) Jessica and Bobby came back with the most AMAZING house coffee from starbucks that I had ever tasted....  all it had was half and half, I didn't even need to add sugar, and let me tell you that I haven't stopped thinking about it since!  ;)  Thanks guys for always letting me spend quality time with the kiddos....  :D

200,000

My red lightning turned 200,000 miles on my drive to Coronado today!  I went to visit with the Fanzo's and the kids, it was a wonderful afternoon!  :)
It seems appropriate that she would turn 200,000 on my way to the beach...  ;)  I watched the odometer for 40 minutes, and it happened in Poway!  I almost missed it too!! 

But I ended up catching it just in time!! 

She's been a GREAT car to me, We've had lots of fun road trips, and she's seen a lot, SF, Vegas, SD, the beach, Arizona, and many, many other places that I can't remember right now.....  8 years of memories is a lot to remember....  ;)  Happy 200,000 miles red lighning...  here's to many more...  ;)

Hanging with Aunt Ruthie!!

I got to meet Aunt Ruthie, from sugarpiefarmhouse...  She is seriously amazing....  much more than I imagined....  ;)  appearantly DeBran knows her, so she planned a small get-together so we could meet her and chit chat....  How exciting that Aunt Ruthie agreed to meet with a bunch of girls who she didn't even know!  ;) 

haha!!  I LOVE that she was excited to meet us too!

Aunt Ruthie was just as excited to meet Melissa....  I guess she follows Melissa's fabulous blog too!  ;)

then there was BIG hugs.... 

..... we sat aroud and talked, she asked us about us, and we asked her questions, she gave us VERY VALUABLE advice, about EVERYTHING!  DeBran made a delicious sugar pie.....  how fitting!  ;)

.....and there was yummy Lemon mini cupcakes, and the most delicious cherries, I know...  I couldn't STOP EATING THEM!!!  haha!

after a wonderful evening of talking with the girls literally until almost midnight, we seriously had a great time, we decided to take a group picture...  of course the pie was part of it too!  ;)  Thanks Kenny for taking the picture for us!

The look on Jessica's face cracks me up!  It's like she's saying "hurry up already!"  ;)  I was thinking the same thing!  ;)

.....and we can't forget the mixed berry pie!

......and Miss Layla finally gave up!  :)  she was such a trooper, and I'm pretty sure she had a good time too...  ;)

A visit with my "Silly"!

“Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there”

'Silla and Alex came out to SD to visit with the kids, and they thought they would take an evening to hang out and catch up with their old friends!  :)  so off I was to Pechanga for an evening full of laughs, a little gambling and a drink or two!  ;)  I miss my Silly, but I am truly glad that we can see each other a few times a year at least!  At least we have the phone right??  ;)

Miss Amanda came out for the celebration too!  ;)

We had a great time hanging out.....  and I can't wait for the next time...  maybe it'll involve a wine tasting train trip????  ;)  guess I better get on planning that!  ;)

Happy Birthday MEEEELLLIIIISSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! ;)

MELISSA had a birthday on June 4th....  It was the BIG one this year!  ;)  What better way to celebrate than with a tasty dinner at Lucille's BBQ?  Jessica thought it would be approriate to make it a girl's night, so off we went to celebrate a very special friend's birthday with good food and great friends!  ;)

Miss Layla came to celebrate her mommy's birthday too!  and I LOVE this picture of them!  

 This is what I call the "old school" crew....  I've known these girls FOREVER!  since way back in elementary school days I think!!  the only one missing was Jaime!

 Melissa and I had talked about stepping out of our "food" boxes this time around...  I always order the same thing at Lucille's....  I found something I liked so I was always scared to try something else...  so if you have never tried the tri tip salad, you should...  that's what I always get...  HOWEVER this time I decided on something completely different...  I ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, with a corn on the cobb...  AND let me tell you it was DELIGHTFUL!!  I would definitly order it again!  :)  and no I didn't eat it all in one sitting, although I'm pretty sure, maybe I could of!  ;)

Melissa stepped out of her box too....  doesn't her plate look delicious?   ok I should be fair and state that she did order for 2...  ;) 

 While we ate, Miss DeBran and Miss Layla got to hang out!  :)

 ....and thanks to Jessica we had the most AMAZING birthday cake...  a carrot one from Rosa's....  YUMMM....
